Some people have a green thumb when it comes to gardening.  I have a brown thumb when it comes to roasting coffee!  

Everyone that roasts coffee will tell you that theirs is the best.  I say, “the proof is in the palate”.  You be the judge.  But remember that the best coffee is freshly roasted coffee AND coffee from the Fresh Roast Coffee Company is the best coffee of all.  WHY? Because I use that brown thumb of mine to roast specialty coffees from around the world every day on my small batch, gas fired, German built, 12-Kilogram, Probat coffee roaster.

If you don't have a specialty coffee roaster in your area, you will soon be able to order a pound of coffee from this website.  In the meantime, if you live in the area, my coffee is available locally at Green Acres in Bradley Fair and also at the Fresh Roast Coffee Company business location.  

As of November 19, 2009 my roastery and sidewalk espresso bar is open to the public.  I am located in the heart of College Hill just outside the Clifton Square shopping center at #2 N. Clifton (NE corner of Douglas at Clifton).  My hours are from 8 am - 2 pm Mon-Sat.  See map

An individual brew just for you is what I do.  Takes about 3 minutes but it is definitely worth the wait as the coffee is ground and brewed upon ordering.
