I don't live in Wichita, but my brother does and he told me about this hometown gem. What an amazing cup of coffee! Tim and his family are the most personable, nicest people you'll meet. They always recognize you and have a friendly hello. The coffee is the best tasting coffee I've ever had--and I drink tons!--and it's the most wonderful example of a local merchant doing what's right for his neighbors.
I make it a priority to stop by Tim's Fresh Roast Coffee Co. every time I'm in town and to bring a pound or two of his amazing beans home with me. Go, people! You won't regret it!

Absolutely phenomenal coffee! Truly extraordinary! Both in their ability to create drinks brewed to order and in the quality of Timothy Wiesner's freshly roasted beans. I have been fortunate to try Blue Bottle coffee in San Fransisco, as well as many other fine coffee shops including Cafe Modern here in Wichita and many other less known places around here, the rest of the country and some in Europe. Tim Wiesner's is simply the best I've had so far! (Slightly edging out Blue Bottle in my opinion). If you're interested in having the absolute best cup of coffee in Wichita you must try this place. The beans he sells are often roasted only HOURS before. This has opened up a new dimension in my experience with brewed coffee. What is also so great about this place, is that Tim is a delight to deal with and their customer service overall is excellent. It is true that the line can get "long" during peak hours, but definitely no worse than Starbucks, and often times I am the only one in there! It is also important to know that there is another place to buy his coffee beans (whole) and that is at Green Acres grocery store in Bradley Fair shopping center here in Wichita. Tim roasts several different varieties of beans that envelope most of every range of flavor, aroma, acidity. Oh, and the prices, LOW! This is a must try at least once for everybody in Wichita that drinks coffee!
